According to an ancient prophecy, a woman will give birth to identical twin boys: one will be the Messiah, the other the Anti-Christ. When a Russian nun, Sister Yulia, claims to have immaculately conceived twins, the Vatican sends a team of priests to investigate. The priests are joined by affiliates of a secret society, the Vox Dei. They confirm her claim as authentic, and Vox Dei's orders are to abort both children. However, an American Jesuit, Father Fox, discovers their plan and helps her escape to Estonia.

The prophecy
A Jesuit priest who specializes in ancient languages tries to decipher a Zorastrian text that prophesizes the Antichrist and the Messiah will be born together and ultimately do battle for the fate of the world...
Synopsis
When a young Russian nun, Sister Yulia, claims to have immaculately conceived twins, the Vatican sends a team of priests to investigate. The priests are joined by affiliates of a secret society: Vox Dei. They confirm her claim as authentic, and Vox Dei's orders are to abort both children. However, an American Jesuit (Father Fox) and Cardinal Russo discover their plan, and they help her escape to Estonia by train—on which she gives birth to identical twin boys.
The fixer sent by Vox Dei to kill the children, Saul, is on their trail. With the help of Father Fox’s girlfriend, Laura, they hide in a cabin in rural Estonia. Shortly after their arrival, the people of the nearby town start acting bizarre and demonic. The twins, Jacob & Samuel, may be responsible, but Father Fox remains skeptical of the entire prophecy. With Sister Yulia and the babies safely in hiding, Father Fox believes his duty has been fulfilled and plans to leave for London with Laura.
Saul follows clues to St. Petersburg, and they point him towards Estonia. The night before Father Fox is to leave with Laura, she is killed by a possessed local. Saul follows Father Fox back to the cabin and tries to kill Jacob & Samuel but is killed by Sister Yulia. Father Fox is devastated and finally believes the prophecy is real. He blames Jacob & Samuel for Laura’s death and believes they killed her to stop him from leaving.
Now possessed by a demonic spirit, Father Fox believes that he alone can save the world by killing the evil child. As he closes in on his murderous goal of killing Jacob, the good child, he’s killed by Sister Yulia. Father Fox falls dead with a gunshot wound through his heart, but he is resurrected by Jacob.

Inside the old man's cabin, our heroes find artworks that seem to confirm the prophecy, but Father Fox has his doubts.
CHARACTERS
SISTER YULIA
Sister Yulia was born to a Siberian family severely traumatized by the Soviet Union. Depleted by her grim and lonely reality, she entered the sisterhood with the intention of dying to the world and being reborn as a spouse of Christ. Despite her efforts, she struggles with the purposelessness of living in a convent until she conceives identical twin boys: Jacob & Samuel. Sister Yulia proves herself a selfless and loving mother by doing everything she can to protect her boys. Through unique trials and tribulations, she proves herself worthy of her divine charge.

FATHER FOX
Father Fox is an American Jesuit scholar and skeptic who is leaving the church. An expert translator specializing in obscure prophecies and ancient languages, he is sent to investigate Sister Yulia’s alleged immaculate conception—a claim he especially doubts. Father Fox finds himself in over his head as he struggles to reconcile morality with the problem of evil. His despair and anger at God slowly build. He begins to lose his mind as he adopts an increasingly Satanic philosophy and outlook on the world.

CARDINAL RUSSO
Cardinal Russo is a Jesuit scholar and devout follower from Iran. An expert translator specializing in obscure prophecies and ancient languages, he is sent to investigate Sister Yulia’s alleged immaculate conception. His faith is tested, and he ultimately loses his sanity after a tragic yet valiant struggle against demonic forces.

LAURA
Laura is an Estonian national from an oil shale family. Despite her privilege and wealth, she has a heart of gold. Albeit an atheist, Laura fell in love with Father Fox while living in St. Petersburg and is the driving force behind his plan to leave the priesthood.

Saul
Saul joined the military to escape the impoverished streets of Newark, New Jersey. A Special Forces officer before becoming a mercenary. He earned a reputation for being a highly efficient and ruthless killer. But after a religious experience on the battlefield, he found himself tortured by guilt. After years of nihilistic wandering and substance abuse problems, he found purpose in the service of a secret society charged with protecting humanity, the Vox Dei.
Jacob & Samuel
Jacob & Samuel are identical twin boys and utterly indistinguishable as infants. One is the Antichrist and the other is the Messiah.
